The Lake

This is the lake at Konigsee, in Germany (it's about one hour on the train from Salzburg). It's also the town at the foot of the Eagle's Nest, the hilltop retreat which was a present to Hitler from the Nazi Party... A spectacular setting, high in the mountains, overlooking the tip of this lake... It was a truly remarkable trip, just to experience the area and the view... The weather was quite amazing - the clouds here were rolling off the lake - I don't know how cold it was, but after a few minutes, I lost the ability to speak
